Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Special Guest - Jenny Hall

Thank you for joining the Crazy Crafters team today for our team blog hop today. We have a very special guest Jenny Hall from the US joining us and she has LOTS of inspiration for us to CASE - Copy And Selectively Edit.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can hop all the way around using the list at the end of this post.

Here is Jenny's card that inspired me today -

And, here is the card I ended up with;

I used the beautiful Apron of Love stamp set with coordinating Apron Builder Framelit kit. I must admit that I was also inspired by Tiffany colours. Here are the steps you can use to make this card;
  1. Start with a Coastal Cabana portrait, base opening card base.
  2. Cut a layer of Coastal Cabana allowing a 1cm border all around.
  3. Cut a layer of Whisper White allowing a 1mm border all around.
  4. Using the layer of Whisper White, use the small heart stamp from the Apron of Love Stamp Set and stamp randomly around using Smoky Slate.
  5. For the sentiment, use Basic Grey and stamp in the lower portion as shown on the example.
  6. Using a piece of Coastal Cabana, use the Big Shot to cut out the Apron and front pocket shapes using the framelits from the Apron Builder Framelit kit.
  7. Using this apron and pocket pieces from the previous step, use the Big Shot and the Tufted Embossing Folder to create the cute pattern on the Apron and pocket.
  8. Using a Sponge Dauber, add some Coastal Cabana to the edges of the Apron and the front pocket to create some texture.
  9. Using a piece of Whisper White, use the Big Shot to cut out the intermediate layer of the front pocket and the 2 bows from the framelit kit.
  10. Using a piece of Coastal Cabana, use the Big Shot to cut out the head piece (what even is it called?) from the framelit kit.
  11. Using Fine Tip glue, assemble the Apron as shown on the example.
  12. Using the Take your Pick tool apply some Pearl Basic Jewels.
  13. Using glue and dimensionals, assemble the card as shown on the example.
All of the products used on this project are linked for you at the bottom of the post.

I really like how this card turned out. Thank you so much for coming by today and seeing my project and taking part in this amazing blog hop today. Big thank you to Jenny Hall for joining us and inspiring us all to create amazing projects. We are so grateful to you.

Greek Isles Blog Hop October | Holiday Catalogue Highlights

Welcome to our Greek Isles Achievers Blog hop for October! We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that have earned the incredible Stampin' Up!® incentive trip for 2019. We are hopping together to share with you some awesome inspiration using current Stampin' Up!® products.

Today I decided to use the Country lane suite along with a stamp set that I haven't used yet! It is called the Mean So Much stamp set. At first I thought it was going to be really tricky to line up - however with the Stamparatus - everything is easy!

Live in Australia? Click on the products below to purchase them today!

I love the stunning Country Lane Designer Series Paper and most of you know that I love to #loveitchopit and chop chop chop my Designer Series Paper. There is no point keeping it on your shelves - we want to share the love of our paper with people.

I added the gorgeous Braided linen thread to my card today and tied it in a simple bow. I love how everything just co-ordinates so well.

The colours that I used on the Mean so much stamp were a mixture of - Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Mint Macaron. Love that this stamp is broken up into four pieces so that you can add colours that you like - I am going to have some fun with some ombre techniques too.

Please make sure you hop around to all of the participants on the list below. There are some AMAZING projects. Remember that you are currently at my blog - Kylie Bertucci. Check out the list below to see who is next up!

VIDEO - Facebook Live Recording | White Velvet Paper

I had so much fun yesterday playing with the brand new White Velvet Paper. This paper is so LUX! It is gorgeous and you won't be able to stop touching it. This paper is available to Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators now and to customers on the 1st November 2018.

It is very different to any other paper that I have inked up and so I thought I would have a play LIVE. I got lots of great tips from the comments too which was great. We can all learn together.

Here is my live video in case you missed it -

These are the two that I made during the live video - the colours were very bold.

Both Jessie & Bruno said that they didn't like this first card. I could feel my insecurities coming up right away and then reminded myself that even if people don't like your creations - KEEP sharing! The comments made me second guess, I thought - Are they good enough for my blog? What if others don't like it??

I reminded myself that being insecure about sharing your creative work at times, is normal. Even for someone like me that creates at least four projects a week. I remind myself that not everyone will like it - and that is OK! People are entitled to have opinions as I have them too. And there are techniques and other things that we can learn from our projects.

Do you put too much weight on what others think about your creativity? Does it hold you back from sharing more? I understand those feelings. But - Keep SHARING! No matter what. Your confidence will grow!

This is the effect from dropping the colours on and using the aqua painter to smoosh it all around. So much fun! I really hope that you give it a try.

Thanks so much for coming by my blog today and checking out my projects and hopefully my Facebook Live recording. I love your support and comments. Please follow my blog by email if you aren't already. You can sign up HERE.
