Hello all! I am so excited something adventurous for me - I am using not quite navy for the FIRST TIME and I just love that colour with the white and old olive. It even matches my blog colours. Lol. Can't wait to add baja breeze in there too (I get it tomorrow!)I have used stamps from the always set and only used the marker pens.
So I think it is official that I NEED this stamp set. Have had so much fun borrowing it from Ange, but it is time to give it back tomorrow. Oh well a bit of pressure creativity is always a good thing.
Attempted the colour change in the birds patterned section, What do you think?? Would love your opinions and comments. (good or bad please!!) I'm thinking next time not to colour in the flowers with the old olive and leave it white??
Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

Stamps: Always
Paper: Whisper white, not quite navy, old olive
Ink: marker pens, old olive and not quite navy

Guest Stamper - Carolina Herrera and yes its More mustard again!!

Carolina has done such a beautiful job of this card that I just had to make sure everyone got to have a look! Isn't it stunning??

So the recipe for the card -
Cardstock is Basic brown and So Saffron
Stamp set - Priceless
Ink - Chocolate chip and More mustard

Now she has done a Faux Woodgrain Background by draging the mustard ink over the so saffron cardstock as well as chocolate chip just lightly.

The letter S is chipboard and has been coloured with Chocolate chip ink.
Wonderful job Carolina and nice to have you as a guest stamper!!

The new stamping room!!

Well finally as requested I am posting photos of the new room that is set up for me and bruno to do our craft!! I just can't believe this room used to be our bedroom, it really is too small for that. Our bedroom is in the front room now and it is so much better, we can't believe we didn't do it earlier

Bruno also asked his boss about a pigeon hole type cabinet at his work as it wasn't getting used and Bruno was so clever and thought how good it would be for my stamp sets and paper. I know I know isn't he a wonderful husband I hear you say. So this is the set up I have now thanks to this cabinet. Bruno asked how much his boss wanted him to pay for it, and he was like - Bruno just have it! SWEET!

So slowly slowly the room is getting there, few things need a bit of work, I think I am in need for some more small cd boxes as the collection of things are growingBut isn't it exciting!! Only 15 more sleeps until my first workshop!! It can't come any quicker, just want to get right into it

I will always love you!!! (Bruno)

Well thanks Ange, I finally got to have a play with your stamp set - promise I will give it back!! (Not that I want to) Another one of my crisp clean cards I'm getting very minimalistic don't you think???

The Hearts are embossed on white with red ink and clear, then the other embossed on red cardstock with White embossing. The Love is embossed also in white. (love white embossing on strong colours!)

Finished off with a little ribbon and some stick on pearls.

Not long till the first workshops now. Remember if anyone wants one or knows of someone who wants one let me know!! Though i'm getting booked up fast. lol.

I promise I'll have photos of the stamping room next post!!!

Bruno has done it again!! Can you believe this card???

How hot is this!!! He has done an amazing job. It was great to do some stamping together in the new stamp room, yes yes I will post a photo of it soon, its just so messy in there!!! lol.
We have a table big enough for the both of us to stamp away and we even put the heat tool in the middle to share. ha ha.
Here Bruno used an old retired set that I think is GORGEOUS!! It is the Stem Silhouettes, not to be mistaken with our pocket silhouettes that are in the catalogue now.
The cardstock is purely pomegranate with bali breeze ds paper. He stamped in red first, then the 2nd stamp of black (so its not too overpowering he said) And then embossed in white diamonds. The word is then embossed in black.
If you can see he has also detailed inside by putting white cardstock very nicely inside to make it easier to write on.
I LOVE IT!! Great job honey.

My version of the sketch Ange found!!

So here is my version of the sketch ange found. Click here to see it. I really enjoyed making this - took about ten minutes which for me I think it a record!!!

I am loving the earth elements colours.

Stamp set - Say it with scallops

In this I have used More mustard as the card base thats right!! I hear you say - More mustard??!!!? It is a very nice colour. I'm going to use it more often. The squares are done in - old olive, pumpkin pie and choc chip in both ink and card.

Nice clean simple card.

Let me know what you think!! Ps its official official - approval has come through for me to be a demonstrator!!!

Pocket Silhouettes

I'm on fire today!! Having blast with my new stamping room.

Last Friday I changed our bedroom and study around and it has worked wonders - no more stamping on the dining room table!! Hooray!!

So now we are in the front room and the study has been converted to my craft room and study room. Its really great. Don't know why Bruno and I didn't think of it a long time ago.

So this card is nice and simple, I LOVE earth colours!!! They are my favorite colours. I got the pack of old olive and not quite navy and I am loving it. I used choc chip and old olive for the cardstock and ink is really rust, choc chip and old olive. Nice and simple!!

Also would like to welcome Kate - I don't think you realise this, but you are my first external visitor that isn't someone I know!! So welcome.

Hopefully i'll have another card to post soon.

BIG NEWS!! I'M BECOMING A DEMONSTRATOR FOR STAMPIN' UP!

Isn't that exciting news!! I am so looking forward to it, best way to support my addiction!!

So far I have THREE workshops in June and one booked for July, so I am very excited about that. If anyone is interested in having a workshop, you know where to go.

Angela has a little team happening already - Bec and I are part of it, and its growing especially with the special for May - Ange has it all in her blog so CLICK HERE to find out more about the special reduced starter pack for new demonstrators.

We had our first "team" get together (ange is in the process of giving our team a name) last Saturday. Jess was there as well, great time had by all. Here is an example of what we made. It wasn't original, found on splitcoast stampers I think but how gorgeous is it!!

We also learned how to make a card holder, fits 6 cards or 3 with envelopes which makes a nice gift for someone.

So how exciting!! Its all happening.

For the Bride

What better thing to do on a cold overcast Saturday afternoon than to play with stamps and make cards!!!

Carolina kindly let me borrow her new stamp sets while she is in sydney for the weekend, so gotta make the most of them.
This set For the Bride is just stunning. I was looking at them and thought, I can't wait to see this embossed!! and that I did. You can't tell the detail too well from the photo, but it is embossed in choc chip. The card stock is Whisper white as the base and I used the Paisley retired background stamp in Sahara sand ink.
The congratulations is embossed in metalic bronze for a bit of sparkle!!

This is another that I did and I love it!! (so humble!) It is white card stock as the base and what a fluke that I found out!!! I had a little let over sahara sand ink on my En Francais Background Stamp that I didn't know was on there and put the versa mark on and stamped it and look at that! It came up a light red/pink colour, which was just right for the card.
The bride is embossed in black and I added the red heart brad. In the scalloped edge there are holes which I placed a strip of red cardstock on.
The congratulations stamp is embossed in white diamonds on black card stock and cut with the word window.
Very exciting!! Hope to hear from you all!

Nursery Necessities

This is a sweet baby girls card that i've done, it was for you rachel (congrats on your baby girl!) but now that you have seen it, i'll have to get creative and do another one!!

Cardstock - the old in colours!! Purely Pomegranate and groovy guava also chocolate chip.

Paper - some nice paper I had lying around that happened to have to two in colours in it! Fluke same with the buttons!

The choc chip scalloped edge was quite a challenge - two sides are quite easy, but doing the four perfectly is difficult. I'll keep practicing that one.

I stamped my little elephant in groovy guava and then did the roll around the edges in purely pomegranate. I don't have a mat pack as yet (next thing on the list so I used a ruler and measured the square so they would be even a bit tedious but it worked!! lol)

So there you have it! Any questions let me know and comments - they only comments I get these days is when I put bruno in as a guest card maker!! oh and you judy!! Have a great weekend all.

Say it with scallops - very simple easy card

So here is a nice and easy one!! Not much to explain really
Ink - choc chip
Card stock - Very Vanilla, Choc Chip, Close to Cocoa.
Brads - mini Brown ones from Francheville

Circle Circus - Its been so long since i have posted!

Finally i'm back!! I have been very busy card making though, my mum's boyfriend wanted a pack of cards and it was quite a challenge to come up with some cards that were a little "Manly".
Here is one of a set that I came up with using circle circus and earth elements tones.
Cardstock - Sahara Sand, Choc chip, whisper white.
Circles cut by using a fiskars stencil and cutter (does the job well and a lot cheaper than a cuttlebug!) Let me know your thoughts!

Say it with Scallops! Guest stamper Bruno Bertucci

I just had to put this one up - Isn't is so daring and colourful?? I am so into the earth tones that this one can't help but brighten your day.
All the different colours were using the stamp spots in the Bold Brights and then the front Congrats was done in diamond embossing powder - bruno got in on ebay.
Any questions comments feel free to ask!
