I decided to get a stamp set out the other week that I hadn't used before and challenge myself as there really wasn't any ideas for this stamp set. This would be a new one from the gorgeous Summer Mini. It is called Love Defined. I just LOVE this tree. Can't wait to use the flamingo's too. I was also excited to use a new sentiment that I hadn't thought of before and that was from the For Everything set. It has come up great!
I stamped the tree with Real Red missing as much of the trunk as possible, then I used the marker to colour the trunk with Basic Black. Afterwards I then coloured in a few of the hearts in black for a bit of detail. The Real Red is embossed and sponged a little in Basic Black.
I hope you like it!
Recipe- Stamps: Love Defined Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red Ink: Real Red, Basic Black Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Embossing Folders. |

A New favorite Flower - Notably Ornate
I am really excited to be sharing a card that is using Marina Mist for the first time!! I am loving this colour especially with the Early Espresso. I am also loving the satin ribbon, it is my favorite ribbon.
Here is the card that I made, the flower was done using three scallop punches. you cut in between two scallops just to the middle. then you start the fold back and forward all the way to the end - this will make 1/3 of the flower or 1/2 depending on what size you want the end flower to be. You then stick the edges together put your brad through the middle and then I stuck a jumbo glue dot down in the middle. I have done a few different colour versions of this - for a wedding Basic Black and Whisper White came up fantastic and also Real Red in that combo is nice too. Try your version of colours and see how it turns out!
Recipe- Stamps: Notably Ornate Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Early Espresso Ink: Early Espresso Accessories: Paper Snips, Marina Mist Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Embossing Folder, Scallop Punch, Modern Label Punch. |

Top Note Patchwork with Love Letter
I have been wanting to do this style of card for a long time and just had never got around to it - what a good thing I have the classes as it enables me to give these things a try and teach it to others!!
It was surprisingly easy and a heap of fun. We recently did one in class the same style but with the sweet and sour specialty paper - they came up gorgeous! Will have to recreate it to show you as I have already given it away to a friend.
