No Bones About It Boys Card

I have been enjoying craft so much more lately. My Dad had a serious heart operation on Friday and it has been such a great distraction and therapy for me to stay calm. You realise how much family means to you when you go through things like this. He is doing very well and recovering which is such a relief for my family. Thanks to all those who gave me words of encouragement on Facebook - you are all so thoughtful. I passed them all on to him. xx

I have been so excited to use this stamp set and I loved having a play! I have my gorgeous nephews Peter and Chris in mind as they LOVE dinosaurs and I know they will love this card.

I loved adding in the clouds from the tree builder punch. There was a bit of fussy cutting but I feel it was all worthwhile.

Not only did I have fun on the outside though - I had so much fun on the inside!

I was able to add in the 3d pop out section so that when they open up the card it will be like the T-Rex jumps out at them.

Features I love in this card:

I love the Rawr how I have cut them with the snips to give it that effect of loud noise, it took some time snipping them - but the effect was worth it.

The mountains and sky with clouds - I loved using the new Cucumber Crush for the grass and hills. I also used the oval framelit to cut out each side of the hill make sure to only go part of the way.

The colours of the dinosaurs - I googled to find out an idea for colours and there were many different ideas - but I was excited to be able to use the new Tip Top Taupe for the triceratops and the Diplodocus (yes I have done extensive research..) and the Tyrannosaurus Rex I used the new Delightful Dijon which is a great contrast with the other colours.

The sentiment on the front -I fussy cut the tip top taupe mean banner and glued it on top for a point of difference and to bring in the Tip Top Taupe in another place on the card.

The footprints I love! They are so cute and are part of the excitement that surrounds dinosaurs.

  4. Loved this card. I have twin great nephews and they would really like this card. Planning on purchasing this stamp set in the future. It's so hard to find cute stamp sets for little boys and they are all boys. Will be 7 on the 27th of July. Going to their party today. I used the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set that I borrowed. They are just getting into Lego's sets. Hope they like the ones that I made them. Maureen / USA
