Groovy Love - Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge

The Pals Paper Arts have a sketch challenge that I wanted to play along with. I instantly had ideas and then took a completely different direction! It started with the Cow from Barnyard Babies and then turned into love... not sure how that happened!

Here is the sketch that Kerry Willard Bray came up with -

Sad to hear that Kerry is leaving that Design Team.

Here is my card using the Groovy Love Stamp Set-

I love these bold colours when talking about Love. Especially Real Red. To me it just speaks love. And adding a bit of Go Wild Designer Series paper I think matches quite well.
I have a few different elements to my card today. I have used the hearts border punch and allowed the red to pop through. I used Sequins and also silver metallic Thread. I was so upset when I realised I don't have any thread!!! PANIC STATIONS! But I came up with an alternative that may come in handy for you hopefully.

I punched out the heart then adhered it to a whisper white 1-3/4" Circle. The larger black circle is the fifth smallest circle in the Circles Thinlits Dies. The Love sentiment was stamped using the Alphabet Rotary Stamp. I stamped it on Basic black and embossed it in White. I love how it Pops out!

Here is a technique on how to make your own thread in case you want to pin it to Pinterest.

And here are the colours that I used -
