Global Design Project #013 | Botanical Gardens

It's another exciting week over at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog. This week is a colour challenge. I really hope that you get to play along with us this week. We have extended the time by over 8 hours so that it gives people more time to play along. We understand how busy everyone is - but who doesn't want all these celebrity Designers to visit our blogs?

Big Congrats goes to Steffi Helmschrott, Jessica Williams, Connie Collins and Krista Frattin who have all been asked to be part of the Stampin' Up!® Artisan Design Team this year. All four of these lovely talented women are on the Global Design Project Design team - so we sure know how to pick great talent!

Here is our colour Challenge this week -

And here is my card -

I wanted the Crumb Cake to be the main colour on this card - because I knew that those Real Red flowers needed a neutral background to POP against. I used the Happy Patterns mask to create the Crumb cake dots for a little added texture and interest.

The flowers are from the brand new Occasions Catalogue and are from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. I used the White Perfect accents found on page 161 of the Current Annual catalogue and took off the white backing and used the fine-tip glue pen to glue them down. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive on top of the old olive using the co-ordinating stamp set Botanical Blooms.

Make sure you head over to the Global Design Project challenge blog and see all the other incredible designs that the team has come up with for this colour Challenge. Hopefully you can play along too!
