You are the Apple of My Eye

That saying really means - someone or something that one cherishes above all others. (Thanks Wiki)

And I feel like this card really would be a card that I could give to that person. We all have a special person or friend in our lives that no matter what they are there for us. Yes, you have your ups and downs, but that actually strengthens the friendship not damages it if it is real. Friendship is so special and we have to really make an effort to cultivate and look after our friends. Live is so out of balance that sometimes that can be a real challenge with all the demands we have on us.

Why not this week, send at least two cards to those special friends in your life? Let them know that you are thinking of them and that they mean something to you.

Here is one of my cards I am going to send to a friend this week.

I was inspired by the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches this week - however I missed the cut off! Don't you hate it when you do that? I loved the sketch as soon as I saw it and new that I wanted to use this new stamp set I got this week - Apple of My Eye. How fresh and fun is it!!

Are you ready for some more??? Part way through this blog post I had such a great idea for some more citrus cards! check these out! Here is some Lime, Blood Orange, Orange and Lemons! How adorable are they? It is REALLY hot here in Melbourne at the moment and these are perfect for some refreshing summer fun.

Here is the Blood Orange that I used with Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie -

Some Lime - I used Cucumber Crush and stamped off to lighten it a bit. Its the PERFECT colour.

And our favourite way to get Vitamin C - Oranges! This was using Pumpkin Pie Ink and Cardstock.
