CASEing Kylie Bertucci for Global Design Project #026

I am officially a periscope fan! I love interacting with lovers of craft from all around the world, it gives me such a buzz. I hope that you are following me as they got a sneak peek of this card this week. If you aren't you can click here to follow me you will need the periscope app for your phone. I knew I wanted to show them my card from the Global Design Project and realised I had already sent it to my friends! So I whipped up the same card but just selectively edited some things.

I cased my card by Copying and Selectively editing parts of my previous card I posted a few days ago. You can see it here - Click here I used the incredible sketch from the Global Design Project challenge blog this week.
Here is my card -

I pretty much used the same layout as this is the idea from the sketch - but just made a few subtle changes. I added the splatters in smoky slate in the background using the Timeless Textures Stamp set. I also changed the Sentiment and now it is more appropriate for a wedding card which I know will come in handy.
I also, thanks to Michelle Last, added the pears but coloured them in with a black sharpie. I love this idea and I think my Pearl embellishments are going to get used a whole lot more.
I also added a black bloomin' hearts thinlits behind the red one instead of the white.
So just slight changes - but it feels similar yet different.

Casing a card you have made is a great way to keep the creative juices going without getting too much brain strain. If you really love an old card - revisit it and bring it back to live again with a good CASE. Changing just a few elements can make a big difference and yet the card can come together much quicker than creating from scratch.

Thanks for coming by today! Remember that the international blog highlight is happening tomorrow night so don't miss it You are going to love all the projects and remember you can vote for your favourite. You can follow my blog via email by clicking on the button below.

  1. I watched your periscope my friend, but was too late to watch it live. Shame it doesn't let me know with a ping when you are on!! Love the card and your Periscope sessions!

  3. Another bold card with this great sketch. I love when a sketch is so versatile and you've been showing it off well.
