Today I am hoping along with the winners of my highlights from December. Our theme is the same as the hop last month which was flowers. Here is the pretty project to share with you today. Its using the Petal Passion Suite which features the Petal Palette Bundle. Here is todays project;
This was such a fun card to make.
The lower layer is actually a sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Petal Passion set. Here are all of the sheets;
The best thing about having monochrome background is that it is easier to pair them with colours. Do you have this set of paper yet? It is EXTREMELY versatile.
Next, we stamped the flower image onto Whisper White using Memento Ink. Memento is the recommended ink to use with our new Stampin' Blends which I used to colour the flowers.We then used Soft Sky ink with one of the patterned background stamps to create some visual interest. And, then, this was cut out using the Lots of Labels Framelits (there is a shopping link at the bottom of the post for you).
Finally, we cut out the beautiful piece of lace using whisper white (isn't it just beautiful?) and white embossed onto black using the congratulations sentiment. This was also cut out using the coordinating framelit in this kit.
