Alaska Achievers Blog Hop June 2018 - New Annual Catalogue!

Welcome to our Alaska Achievers Blog hop for June! Yet again we have a fantastic hop to share with you today - full of inspiring ideas using the current Stampin' Up!® product. Our Alaskan trip is not far away at all! I am so excited to meet up with everyone and to cruise and see Alaska. It is going to be AMAZING.

Today, we are going to be sharing some ideas with you featuring products from the Brand New Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. If you live in Australia and would like one of the new Stampin' Up!® Catalogues you can order it HERE.

I have a sweet card to share with you today. I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set. And, I LOVE it! So much so, that I made a series of cards and used EVERY stamp in the set!

Here is the project;

Let me just say - I love this stamp set. And, if you dont have it yet, you are going to love it too!

Do you like the colours used on this card? I wanted to start with Greens (there are quite a few in the SU collection) and here are the greens that I ended up with;

I'll be honest - I did start with a lot more. lol!

I started with a piece of Whisper White and stamped away using three different stamps in the collection (there are a total of sixteen stamps in the collection - it is a two-case pack). There was no rhyme or reason with the stamping - just made sure that there was no white space left out.

Next, I stamped the tree-trunk in Lemon-Lime Twist using the stamparatus. I used this because I wanted to use markers around the edge. I applied the Call Me Clover marker thicker around the edge of the stamp and then again using Tranquil Tide. I LOVE THE STAMPARATUS for this! I can apply as much or as little of the colour as I want but because I was using the Stamparatus, I can be sure that it stamps exactly in the right position!!!!

I cut this out and mounted onto a circle piece of Tranquil Tide. I decided to use White embossing for the sentiment. I used the Stampin' Buddy and then stamped the sentiment with Versamark. I still get excited every time the embossing powder melts (tell me Im not the only one). Then, I mounted this onto the stamped card with some Burlap.

Finally, I mounted this stamped card onto a piece of Lemon-Lime Twist and then mounted this onto a Lemon Lime Twist card base.

I really love how this card turned out. What do you think? If you like what you are seeing today - follow my blog by email and don't miss one of my posts! Click Here to subscribe.

  1. Love this card and the colours look awesome! Really liking the burlap - makes it look "earthy". Can't wait to start playing with this set too. Thanks for sharing this.
