Grown with Love - Happy For You

Hello and thanks for stopping by today.

As I flick through the catalogue, early on in the catalogue (on Page 22), I often see a stamp set that I think 'I really like this stamp set - I should make a card using that.' Are there stamp sets that you own that you love that you also haven't used yet? Im talking about the Grown with Love stamp set and today, I am using it!!! Im very excited! Here is the project I made today....

I started off with a sheet from the Fresh Florals designer series paper stack. I have to say, that I am LOVING this set of paper and I am constantly amazed at the beautiful projects I have seen using this set of paper. Using Cajun Craze, I stamped the pot and cut out using the coordinating framelit. I wrapped some thread around the pot.

For the plant, I actually used Fresh Fig, Emerald Envy and Basic Black and applied colour using the markers and stamped. I love this technique. It allows you to use whatever colour wherever you want to use it. I then mounted the pot using dimensionals and added some glitter enamel dots in the middle of the flowers.

Finally, I mounted onto a piece of Fresh Fig and then mounted on the DSP sheet. I then, mounted this onto a Fresh Fig card base.

What is your favourite DSP at the moment? Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Just Breathe - Alternative Use for the Quilt Builder Framelits

Hi There. I have a quick project to share with you today. Here it is;

I'll be honest - these flowers were offcuts. Before throwing them away, I just laid them down and thought 'That looks like a flower.' So, I trimmed them and aligned them .... and thats that!

I wrapped some of the mini chevron ribbon around a piece of Daffodil Delight and then mounted the 'flower' onto that. The mini-dimensionals are perfectly sized for this. I then mounted this onto a Daffodil Delight card base. For the sentiment, I white embossed onto Daffodil Delight and mounted using dimensionals.

I love it when cards like this just ..... happen. I didn't give this much prior thought - but I love how it turned out. Another example of why you NEED to buy the the Quilt Builder Framelit Kit. Click link below and buy it now.

I Love you ..... Text Ya Later!

Hey! I thought it would be great to use a stamp set today that I haven't seen many use. It is a great stamps for many ages and groups particularly the hard ones - Teenages and Masculine cards.

The stamp set I used for todays project (Text Ya Later) was not one that first appealed to me when we received the catalogue. In fact, it was Bruno that added it to HIS shopping list when we were putting in our first order. But, after making this card, I am completely sold at how cool it is. Here is todays project;

I love how this project turned out. I stamped the 'phone outline' first and then searched through all of the different options for this stamp set. It is such a quick and versatile set - so many different uses for many different ages. So, since it was Bruno that made me get this stamp set, I thought I would make this card for Bruno.

As you can see, there are two-step stamping opportunities in this set (the text background are stamps). I wanted the screen to looks as much like the iPhone message screen as possible so I used Marina Mist and Smoky Slate for the text backgrounds.

For the sentiment, I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and coordinating punch. I mounted the text screen and sentiment onto a sheet of DSP from the Wood Texture stack. I also mounted the sentiment onto some of the Burlap Ribbon.

Finally, I mounted onto a layer of Marina Mist and then onto a Marina Mist card base. I love versatile stamps like this (and Thoughtful Banners). There are FIFTY NINE stamps in this set - wow! Imagine the possibilities!!!!!

What is your most versatile stamp set?
